Equality is about sameness, it promotes fairness and justice by giving everyone the same thing. But it can only work if everyone starts from the same place, in this example, everyone is given a box to increase height, and even though everyone gets the same box, only 2 people gain. this proves that some situations are not suitable for using equality to solve problems. Hence, equality only works if everyone is the same height.	Equity is about fairness it’s about making sure people get access to the same opportunities. Sometimes our difference and/or history can create barriers to participation, so we must first ensure equity before we can enjoy equality.

Equality and Equity in education.

In Education, equality and equity must be used wisely. We need to assess the potential of each student to identify the strengths of those students in certain subjects. wisdom in knowing students can help bring out their full potential. As teachers, we also need to be fair and not compare them.
